Facilities

Taylor-Sanders field has been the home to Southwestern softball since the program’s inception in 2009. The field was originally built in 2000 and served the campus as an intramural softball field before upgrades were made to the field to bring it up to NCAA specifications.

The Pirate softball team has quickly rose to the top of the SCAC since becoming an intercollegiate sport at Southwestern while enjoying a .666 winning percentage at Taylor-Sanders Field. Southwestern has made two NCAA tournament appearances and won two SCAC Championships in 2010 and 2013 while posting a 72-35-1 record at home since 2009.

Enclosed batting cages were also built down the left field line with bullpen areas down both foul lines.

Admission to Pirate softball is free during the regular season.
