Chelsea Rex-Singleton was named Assistant Softball Coach for the Pirates in July 2023.
While completing her Master of Arts in Higher Education, Chelsea Rex-Singleton joined the University of Redlands softball staff as a graduate assistant in 2016. She was named Assitant Coach in 2019.
Rex-Singleton was born and raised in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and another bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. While at St. Francis, Rex-Singleton split her time between the pitcher's mound and third base for the NCAA Division I Red Flash softball team. Offensively, Rex-Singleton hit .227 with 40 RBIs and seven home runs. As a starting pitcher, she recorded a career ERA of 4.13. In 2013, her efforts in the classroom and on the field culminated in being named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athlete.
